Puppetry, Visual theatre without words

This performance is presented entirely in French, without surtitles.
If you’d like to explore French-language theatre, we invite you to discover our other productions — some are performed without words or include English surtitles.

What monsters lurk in the imagination of children today? This visually stunning production addresses the theme of fear through physical performance, using deformity, puppetry, masks and shadow play in lively poetry.

Parmi les monstres is a tale about Billie.

One day, Billy hears from his sibling that he is a monster. Billy is told so many times that he starts to believe it. He’s afraid, truly afraid of being a monster. He’s afraid of water. He’s afraid of soap.

As Billie tries to evade his fears, he finds himself being pulled down the bathtub drain. He discovers a new realm, a strange place where real monsters dwell.

His adventure begins: an extraordinary journey where he encounters incredible creatures, the “other”… and most of all, himself.

Parole d’eau

They are two friends, Mamby and Hélène: one lives in Senegal, the other in Canada. What they have in common is that their feet burn: one on the hot sand, the other in her winter boots. What differentiates them is that one lives in the abundance of water, rubbing shoulders with snow and ice, while the other fetches drinking water by carrying it in her basins.

“MAMBY: I think that water transmits everything we say. Water hears all languages. »

This precious liquid, which is missing in many places, is the main character of this show. Before our eyes, Hélène and Mamby give life and voice to the different forms that water can take: spring water, well water, dirty water, rainwater… They express the challenges, fears, frustrations and concerns that they have to face when they come up against the absence or overabundance of water. They take us from Africa from the Sahel to North America.

For ages 6 and up.

À table

Three diplomats meet around a table representing their own gourmet tower of Babel with the aim of agreeing on a common infrastructure project.

But how can we understand each other when we don’t speak the same language? Throughout the meal, the diplomats use everything they can get their hands on to get out of impasses… and ultimately have fun like kids! The table then becomes their playground, transforming into an unexpected and unusual sculpture.

By featuring serious characters who delve into playfulness, this show allows us to have fun as well as to think about our way of living together. It’s the perfect opportunity to play problem solving while celebrating the emergence of imagination!
