For Maxime, October 23 will forever be known as Day Zero. It was the day everything changed. Since then, people have been telling him, "You lost your mother, your mother is gone, your mother is watching you from the stars..." They describe her absence in every way possible, but without ever saying the word that starts with "M."

Today, Maxime breaks his silence by recounting, with his audience and drawing on audio testimonies from bereaved individuals, the hours, days, and weeks that followed his mother's death.

Bon voyage? is a work that combines fiction and documentary theater to talk about the deceased people we have loved and question how grief can be overcome. We follow the story of Maxime and his father in an energetic, funny, and moving solo performance.
