Four artists, three countries, two continents, one novel, and a multitude of voices talking about friendship.
This sound and walking performance offers a timeless moment to settle down and listen to touching stories of friendship that intertwine and unfold over time, sometimes even until death, on two continents. We wander between various places of exchange: unread letters will be read, unsaid words will be spoken, and we will even be invited to the table of old reunions.
Inspired by Virginia Woolf's novel The Waves, this project brings together vibrant testimonials from friends of all ages, from here, France, Italy, and elsewhere. Similar to the movement of the tides, these sensitive stories highlight the highs, lows, and subtle movements that regulate great friendships. Guided by our ears and by radiant performers-passers, we navigate the waves of the Intimate, towards the unattainable Universal.
