Durant des années immerses us in rural Quebec in 1999. An isolated village, lost in the middle of the Ottawa River, becomes the scene of the mysterious murder of a teenager. Twenty years later, a journalist returns to her hometown to unearth (and divert) this heavy past, with the aim of answering the questions surrounding this tragedy.
But this search did not take into account the traces left by this event on the small community. How far are we willing to go for glory? After all, some things are perhaps better left buried...
Après Néon Boréal, le Théâtre du Trillium revient à la charge avec une nouvelle création dont le premier épisode audionumérique a été présenté aux Zones Théâtrales en 2019. S’inscrivant dans les pratiques avant-gardistes qu’on lui associe, le Théâtre du Trillium s’associe au Théâtre Catapulte pour une recherche formelle ambitieuse et conçoit une scénographie interactive générée par intelligence artificielle. Floutant les frontières entre l’humain et la machine, l’esthétique documentaire et la fiction, Durant des années fait écho à une époque méfiante des médias dans laquelle la rigueur journalistique et le « fake news » tout comme le vrai et le faux se mêlent au sein d’une même fresque.
